Peppers produced in Hanyuan, Sichuan Province are considered to be of the highest quality, and during the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty, they were presented as tribute to the emperor and were also called "tribute pepper." Just like chili pepper, it is an ingredient that cannot be described as Szechuan Cuisine without it. Hangen Pepper has a spiciness called ``ma'' that numbs the tongue, and although it may be spicy when you put it in your mouth, after a while it becomes indescribably refreshing, captivating those who eat it. When fully ripe, it has a bright red color and a sharp aroma that is numbing.

Wakayama Prefecture accounts for approximately 70% of the national pepper harvest. Among them, Aridagawa Town, which boasts the highest production volume, is said to be the birthplace of grape sansho, and it is said that it began in the Tenpo period when wild sansho was replanted. As the name suggests, grape sansho is so named because its large fruit is shaped like a bunch of grapes. It is characterized by its rich yet refreshing citrus aroma and rich flavor, and you will be surprised by its taste and aroma compared to other sansho.

The interior of the store is inspired by a public bathhouse of the near future, and we aimed for a clean space using tiles as the main theme. The wall on the right side has an original Japanese pepper pattern, and the kitchen side has tiles with a hemp pattern, which also has the meaning of warding off evil spirits, expressing the wish for children to grow up healthy.
