日曜11時半前、一番乗りでの訪問。入口で声をかけ店内を見渡し、適当であろう出入口付近の2人掛けテーブル席に着き、文字のみで構成されるメニュー表より 冷やしたぬき850円に決め、何をお作りしましょうかと尋ねる、所作の美しい女将であろうお母さんへそばの方でオーダー。
無音の店内に響く料理音に耳を傾けたり、蚊取り線香のほのかな香りを楽しんだりすること、およそ5分で配膳されました。
・冷やしたぬきそば
ワカメの一部が丼へ無造作に張り付いた、洒落っ気のないヴィジュアルにほくそ笑む。
袋から取り出した箸を丁寧に割り、盛付けをなるべく崩さないよう丁寧に撹拌したあと、一啜り分のそばを手繰って豪快に音をたてて啜れば訪れる小幸せタイム。
やや細いけれどしっかりとした咀嚼感を残すそばと、粘度高めのやや濃い目のつゆとの融合。
明らかに見た目よりも美味い。
揚げ玉の鮮度がイマイチなことと、錦糸玉子は冷やしたぬきには要らないなと思いつつ、瞬く間に完食。
この内容で850円。昭和から平成初期にかけての雰囲気と、特有の趣が楽しめるこちら。支払いは現金のみ。
