When you think of "Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot)" in Kumamoto, you think of Aji Noren.
"Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot)" once won the bronze award at the New Words and Popular Words Awards. Now, it is a popular hot pot menu not only in Hakata and Kyushu, but throughout the country. When it co |
It feels more like summer than the rainy season, with the temperature at 30 degrees! We need to think about global warming, but is it time to take a break from Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot)? So we went to Kuonji's "Aji Noren". I'd been there a long time ago, but this was my first visit since the restaurant was newly renovated! I made a reservation, but I guess they only serve seasonal dishes? There were three groups of customers, including us. The restaurant has a neat and tidy Japanese-style meal style, and there are roll curtains to separate us from our neighbors, but they are also thin and see-through. Moreover, we were seated at a table in three groups from the edge, so we could see and hear the movements and voices of our neighbors. If they were going to do it, they should have shown us to a table by skipping one! Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) is available in salt, soy sauce, miso, miso kimchi, and shabu-style flavors, and costs 1,200 yen per person (100 yen higher than the official price). For the final course, we had Champon noodle. There are special Ramen balls and porridge sets. There are plenty of side dishes, including sashimi, a la carte dishes, fried Fried food, grilled foods, salads, desserts, etc. There are also pizzas and parfaits, and I wonder if they don't make the apple pie that other people commented on? I ordered a safe "soy sauce flavor" and a bottle of beer! I ordered "squid sashimi" for 780 yen as a snack until the hot pot arrived, but... This is 780 yen (@_@) They must be using really good "squid" ~ Then, I ordered "corn butter", "Caesar salad", "homemade Croquette", etc. recommended by my follower and waited for a while! And then the mountain-shaped "Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot)" appeared! (Photo is for two people) I like to wait until the ingredients fall naturally without pressing them down! When the ingredients have softened, I eat it! The chives, tofu, burdock, cabbage, and horumon are high-quality horumon with fat from the small intestine ~ However, there is a lot of cabbage core! Isn't the balance with the horumon bad! He said it was hot as he ate it, but when I looked closely, the bowl he was serving it in was also hot! I wish they'd put a little more thought into this. The portion size was smaller than I expected, so I tried to get an extra portion, but it turned out that I'd have to order each one separately, which would be more expensive, so be careful! For the final dish, I ordered the "champon ball" and the unusual "Ramen ball." The champon ball is thinner than the usual champon ball, and when quickly boiled, it has just the right balance of broth and noodles. Continuing on from that, I ordered the "Ramen ball," which also has thinner, curly noodles than regular Ramen, and when quickly boiled, it still had a core, so maybe it's best to just boil it a little. Anyway, the best thing about this season's final "motsu nabe" was the "Croquette" ( ̄▽ ̄)
