The concept is "Tohoku local sake and snacks that go well with it."
The owner had been living on a pension for two years since retirement, but with the support of a loan from the Japan Finance Corporation and a Takatsuki City Startup Support Subsidy, he and his wife w
...ere able to open a small, long-awaited, 20-square-meter local sake shop in front of Hankyu Takatsuki City Station in September 2013. With the concept of "Tohoku local sake and snacks that go well with sake," we strive to provide over 35 types of sake, mainly pure rice sake from Tohoku, as well as snacks that go well with sake, such as freshly grown ingredients, at reasonable prices. The shop name was chosen to reflect the butterbur buds that appear from the snow when the snow melts in anticipation of spring in Tohoku. In the hope of supporting the recovery of the Tohoku disaster-stricken areas in some small way, we also actively stock sake from breweries in the disaster-stricken areas. Although we are a bar started by complete amateurs, we hope that everyone will feel free to come and visit us, and we will continue to work to create a comfortable store. We look forward to welcoming you all there. Blog of the owner of local sake shop "Fuki no To"
