I used to go to Toujin Hanten when it was in Yaesu, but at that time, I only ate the famous mapo tofu, and I often ordered the set menu at lunch because it was a good deal. When I ordered it in Jimbocho, the dandan noodles had a really nice flavor to my liking! In fact, it was so delicious that I ended up enjoying the Shaoxing wine with the soup even after I finished eating. The lotus root flavored with lots of Japanese pepper seemed to numb my tongue, but the garlic sauce on Gyoza / Dumpling was also delicious (I forgot to take a photo of the sauce because it was so rich). The punch line was that they couldn't order the apricot tofu because it wasn't set yet, so everyone happily got full and dispersed. It's a bit far, but I think I'll come back to eat the dandan noodles again.
