Enchantment
At the end of each turn, each opponent loses life equal to the life they lost this turn. (Damage causes loss of life.)

Wound Reflection seems like a great card to work in here... double your clock pretty much?

[2025] Party Hardy with Rakdos! Primer [1.1]
Hi, I love this build; it's obviously something you've been working on for quite a while, considering what you're telling about the deck's origin. Rakdos has long been my favorite Rakdos (pun intended) commander, and some of the cards I've been using (lately) that I didn't find in your build would be examples like:
- Bloodletter of Aclazotz: I know that it's rather expensive, but I can tell from experiencing his impact on the battlefield that he's worth it. He's basically a bad-ass combatant with a stronger version of Wound Reflection incorporated in him.
- Descent into Avernus: great value; especially with Rakdos on the battlefield.
- Neheb, the Eternal: if ANY creature would want to party with the lord of pain, I think it would be this guy. He basically feeds off of the pain that Rakdos requires to show his true potential, and that energy can be put to good use. :)
- Vial Smasher the Fierce: his ability is just about the embodiment of chaos, so sounds very well suited to party with Rakdos.
Keep up the good work and enjoy this build! Ow, and here's mine in case you're interesed: The Portal of Pain.

Shall we play a game, ya?

Hi Rasaru!
To answer your question, the deck plays very well, it is one of my favorite decks I've built in 2024.
The mind games against your opponents are really funny and I love playing a deck with that much interaction to control and change how combat goes (cue evil laugh).
Also, the damage output the Toymaker can do with just a bunch of "mini-games" effects is higher than what I would've expected, it scales quickly as it triggers for each and burns all opponents and becomes terrifying when you can clone him or have double damage effect like Wound Reflection on the board.
DemonDragonJ on Glimmers that Represent Negative Emotions

I believe that the "enduring" creatures from Duskmourn are an interesting concept, but I noticed that they all represent positive emotions, or emotions that people usually regard as positive, so I decided to make several "enduring" creatures that represent negative emotions (or emotions that people usually regard as negative), as seen, here:
Enduring Authority Show
This creature is modeled after Ghostly Prison or Windborn Muse, and I chose for it to be an elephant, since elephants are large and strong animals, as one would expect for a creature with this effect. I almost chose for this card to make spells more expensive to cast, as does Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, but I decided that that ability would be too powerful and or/oppressive, so I chose the ghostly prison ability, instead. I also originally gave this creature base power and toughness 3/4, but I decided that that would make it too powerful, so I made it a 3/3, instead.
Enduring Cruelty Show
I initially was contemplating giving this creature the same ability as Wound Reflection and Archfiend of Despair, but that would have made its mana cost far too high, so I chose the same ability as Blood Artist, instead.
Enduring Duplicity Show
I had the greatest difficulty out of this cycle in deciding what ability this creature should have, so I ultimately chose a very simple and straightforward ability; I originally wrote the ability as "whenever an opponent draws a card, you may ; if you do, that player discards a card," but I felt that that was too powerful, so I changed it, and I also made the ability affect the creature's controller, as well, for balance.
Enduring Ferocity Show
This creature was the easiest of the cycle to design, since it has the most straightforward ability, and it is also is the only one that does not have a keyword, since I could not find one that was suitable, for it; I could have made this creature a spider and then given it reach, but I felt that a wolf was better suited for a creature that has the word "ferocity" in its name.
Enduring Hostility Show
I almost had this creature grant haste to all other creatures that its controller controls, but I decided that that would have made it too powerful, so only the creature itself has haste (so that it may use its own ability, immediately), which means that its controller shall need to find a way to grant haste to their other creatures.
What does everyone else say, about these creatures? How well did I do, with them? I certainly am eager to receive your feedback, about them!

The only part of it that really affects anything is the "loses half their life" clause, so I personally would lean toward combining it with Wound Reflection or Bloodletter of Aclazotz, and make opponents stake everything on the subgame. But even then, I still have to win the subgame to win the main game, so it's just kind of adding an extra step and taking away reliability.
How do you see using it with mill? I guess mill them down so they start a subgame with a smaller deck. But at that point you might as well just finish milling them instead of chopping at their life.
I can't come up with a way to use it as part of a direct win condition that's not just a gimmick. I'm not saying it can't be fun, if everyone's on board with it. It's one of those Grip of Chaos sort of cards where if everyone just wants to goof off for an evening, it's great. Otherwise, it can get annoying.

The apocalypse (Sheoldred)

Yay, darkness. Here are some thoughts that might synergize with your deck:
- With Sheoldred feeding off of card drawing, you might consider things that speed up card drawing. These can be double-edged swords, but Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Teferi's Puzzle Box, Memory Jar, and the like might be worth considering. Reliquary Tower may also not be a bad idea.
- Rather than Infernal Darkness, why not Contamination? You can also get an engine with things like Bitterblossom, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Reassembling Skeleton (or other recurring creatures, e.g. Bloodghast) to make your opponents cry even more.
- Koskun Falls could also be another way to tax your opponents.
- You could also go with Wound Reflection to double up on the suffering. Things like Kokusho, the Evening Star and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician are must-plays in any deck I have with black, and considering Gray Merchant of Asphodel might also be worth your time.

Death and Taxes

Apart from a spate of tutors of varying price points (Vampiric Tutor, Mystical Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Entomb, etc.), here are some thoughts of varying degrees of evilness/making sure your opponents "love" you forever:
- Kokusho, the Evening Star is, for me, a must-include in any black-containing EDH deck, especially with how its life-drain effect scales with the number of players. You could also add an Archfiend of Despair and/or Wound Reflection to multiply suffering, Archangel of Thune to make your board bigger with every passing turn (or life-gain occurrence), and/or Boon Reflection for more life-gain fun!
- Some additional reanimation in addition to what you already have could be handy. For this, I would suggest Karmic Guide; Junji, the Midnight Sky; Reanimate; and/or Necromancy.
- If you have access to it, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician would be super-handy: on-demand sacrifice, not to mention card draw and weakening your opponents' boards.
- Some more land fetch/land thinning tools, like Expedition Map; Urza's Cave; Prismatic Vista; and Marsh Flats, might help. Similarly, Field of Ruin and Demolition Field serve double-duty of land fetch and land destruction for problematic lands. Alternately, some more multi-lands like Reflecting Pool, Mana Confluence, and other pain lands could help you in early game stages.

Evil dead ☠️ (Ode to Sheoldred)

Xtough You made so many valid points! I have a hard time choosing my fav mechanics for this deck (adhd lmao). But your comment made a lot of sense when i read it. So, probably I should have one separate deck for each sheoldred instead of having them together. I will explore this thought for sure.
I actually ordered Wound Reflection a few days past and wanted to incorporate it into this deck!
What other cuts ✂️ do you see for this deck if I want to focus on Sheoldred, the Apocalypse?
Should have maybe have less recursion and more drawing ?
Thank you very much for all your comments!!
