Coordinator – Projects & Programmes (Job Permit No. 143/2025)

About The Role

Job Permit Number – 143/2025

The selected candidate will be expected to carry out a set of assigned duties at Tech.mt and collaborate with other team members to plan, support, and implement various assignments to achieve Tech.mt’s strategy. Primary responsibilities will focus on supporting activities related to the management of projects and programmes, contracts, and related deliverables.

The duties include and are not limited to:

  • Assist in the coordination and administration of projects and programmes undertaken by Tech.mt, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and timelines;
  • Provide operational support in managing contracts, including drafting, reviewing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations;
  • Support the preparation and submission of funding applications for projects aligned with Tech.mt’s goals, including maintaining proper documentation and compliance with funding guidelines;
  • Monitor project progress, preparing regular status reports and communicating updates to the management and relevant stakeholders;
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects, addressing challenges, and escalating issues when necessary;
  • Support the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and monitor adherence to these plans;
  • Assist in evaluating and analysing the performance of ongoing and completed projects, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement;
  • Liaise with external service providers, ensuring that deliverables are met in accordance with contractual agreements;
  • Maintain an organised repository of contracts, agreements, and project documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements;
  • Provide administrative support in the procurement process, including preparation of tenders, request for quotes and related documentation;
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide support for discussions related to projects and contracts, ensuring that key actions are documented and followed up;
  • Contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing Malta’s reputation as a technology hub through effective project execution and stakeholder collaboration;
  • Support logistical arrangements for project-related travelling, meetings, workshops, and events both locally and overseas;
  • Represent Tech.mt in local and international fora, including meetings organised by global technology bodies.

Furthermore, the Coordinator will be expected to assist in other duties as may be directed from time to time by the Head of the Unit or any other official to whom the Head’s authority is delegated.

Any of the duties described above may change depending on the exigencies of the Unit and/or Tech.mt.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Degree in a Project Management; or Public Policy; or Business Administration; or Economics; or, Communications; or Business & Entrepreneurship; or Information and Communications Technology; or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC)* or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level; AND four (4) years prior work experience in the area/s of Project Management; or Public Policy; or Business Administration; or Economics; or, Communications; or Business & Entrepreneurship; or Information and Communications Technology;
    OR
  • Consideration will also be given to Candidates with a Diploma in Project Management; or Public Policy; or Business Administration; or Economics; or Communications; or Business &Entrepreneurship; or Information and Communications Technology at NQF Level 5 or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study, AND five (5) years prior work experience in the field/s of Project Management; or Public Policy; or Business Administration; or Economics;or Communications; or Business & Entrepreneurship; or Information and CommunicationsTechnology; OR
  • Candidates who at least possess seven (7) years’ experience in the field/s of Project Management; or Public Policy; or Business Administration; or Economics; or Communications; or Business & Entrepreneurship; or Information and Communications Technology.

The above qualifications and/or experience need to be supported with a portfolio in graphic design, animation and illustrations.
