Unlike its predecessors, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will not be directed by Steven Spielberg or written by George Lucas, although both will return as executive producers. Instead, James Mangold (Girl, Interrupted, Logan) will take the director’s chair, while the screenplay will be crafted by Jez Butterworth (The Ferryman), John-Henry Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari), David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), and James Mangold.
