BAY ALARM MEDICAL
Hi, Everyone! Hope you are off to a great week. Today’s post does not have to do with fashion. I wanted to collaborate with Bay Alarm Medical because I have aging parents (sorry mom and dad, I hate to even say it) that I want to be sure are safe. Most of you reading this are probably in the same situation if you are still blessed to have one or both of your parents. My mom and dad are still young (78 and 79), but they moved into an assisted living building almost a year ago because my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He was falling a lot due to the symptoms of Parkinson’s and needed help doing a few things that my mom can’t physically help him with. I feel good about where they are, but it’s a relatively large building, and I wondered if they could get help fast enough.
Bay Alarm Medical has been around for decades and provides monitored security services to over 100,00 customers in the United States. The company’s focus is meeting the needs of a rapidly growing elderly population of people over 75. They are available in all 50 states and offers the product in 170 languages! You can see from the above photo that the HELP button is large and easy to see on the panel. There is also a HELP button that can also be placed on the wall. I am showing it up high, but it really is supposed to be placed low on the floor, in case of a fall. What I like about this system, is that it is super easy to use and install. They also offer complimentary Spouse Monitoring Services free of charge.
I went over to help my parents install, and honestly, all we did was plug in the panel after giving all of their information to the company. I accidentally hit the HELP button, and within seconds a man was talking to us. He asked if everything was okay and if my parents needed medical attention. I told him (this is all through the panel, mind you) that we were doing photos for a blog post, but he was more concerned with their safety. I thought it was terrific that they wouldn’t even have to pick up the phone after pushing the HELP button, the voice just appeared! That was such peace of mind!
I found out that Bay Alarm Medical offers compatibility with landline telephones, DSL Phone Service (Comcast, Time Warner, Cox), and AT&T and Verizon wireless. You can check their website for a list of compatible cable service providers. They also offer a GPS system that is powered by AT&T to offer 24/7 tracking and monitoring for those who are on the go. They are offering a sale right now for $19.95 monthly.
I feel better knowing that if my parent’s had an emergency, one touch of that HELP button would have someone talking to them and getting them the help they needed. Not only is it peace of mind for me, but it also helps them feel safer. This is a great product to have for your parent’s or older relatives if they live away from you or you happen to travel.
Anyway, how cute are my parents? My dad is like Job from the Bible. He has had so many severe health issues over the years, but he keeps on going. And my mom is a freak of nature! The woman is gorgeous and never ages and will party you under the table! I am a combination of both of them, but a little more Type A like my dad. I hope I can learn to relax a little bit more like my mom and let loose, especially the older I get.
I hope you all have a great day, and thank you, Bay Alarm Medical for sponsoring this post
