My Creed poses the question: What do I really believe?
American Evangelicalism has lost its way. Rather than “God’s remnant,” or “God’s representative on Planet Earth,” or “God’s Chosen,” it is merely a collection of religious tribes with a foundational narrative in desperate need of a re-write.

American Evangelicalism has lost its way. Rather than “God’s remnant,” or “God’s representative on Planet Earth,” or “God’s Chosen,” it is merely a collection of religious tribes with a foundational narrative in desperate need of a re-write.
And now, just a few years into our both being retired, God has used my dear friend and brother Ken here to confirm that a lifetime of thinking long and hard about issues of faith and practice was necessary to conclude gently – that it’s all a great deal simpler and a whole lot messier than we once professed in those early, heady days.
My Creed is a compelling, courageous, vulnerable, and transparent reflection on a former pastor’s spiritual journey. Ken writes from the heart, telling his story with candor and sincerity.
John Lybarger, Ph.D.
My Creed will make you think. But it will also make you feel both less alone and more hopeful. It will take you somewhere.
Carla – The Bleached Blond Female
With uncommon bravery, Ken Kemp has explored territory so few evangelicals have the courage to visit . . . the crux where belief meets mystery and certainty meets doubt.
Linda Midgett, Emmy Award-Winning Producer
Reading Ken’s Creed took me back to my own roots in my evangelical upbringing with a new appreciation for the values that still define my life.
Scott Chesebro, Ph.D.
My Creed is a powerhouse of truth, wisdom, maturity, clarity, transparency and Holy Spirit power.
Piper Dellums, Producer, Writer and Advocate
It takes courage to dissect familiar creeds, otherwise known as “Statements of Faith” and to take seriously the meanings of the words and the commitments they imply. For generations, many of these statements have gained a greater strength than they deserve simply because few pause and ask, “Is that what I really believe?” Thankfully, Ken takes the courageous step to ask that very question, and then he invites us to consider that question for ourselves.
Scott McClelland, Ph.D.
