Hi, my name is Christina.
I am so glad you stopped by to visit The Frugal Homemaker!
I grew up in a very frugal home and am a homemaker at heart. I love thrifting, shopping at yard sales, crafting, spray painting or painting anything I can, building furniture, and working on Do-it-Yourself projects to decorate our home. You could say I have “Pottery Barn style on a yard sale budget.”
Hence why “The Frugal Homemaker” was born! 🙂 I began writing The Frugal Homemaker in 2011 and in October of 2021 celebrated 10 years of blogging.
I enjoy blogging and have greatly treasured the friendships I have found through the blogging community. I love to browse Pinterest, read other blogs, connect and share on Instagram, and find more ideas for creative ways I can decorate my home and make our lives better on a budget.
Some other things about me:
I have been married to my best friend for 18 years. I am so thankful for my husband and the wonderful marriage the Lord has blessed us with!
After 11 years of infertility, the Lord blessed us with a little girl who has truly blessed our home and life with so much happiness.
My family means the world to me and I am thankful that I am able to stay at home with my little girl.
I am also a homeschool mom. I grew up homeschooled and always planned to homeschool our little girl at least through elementary school – I actually have an Elementary Education college degree.
We love taking trips (especially to the beach!) and going on adventures together. We also enjoy serving together in our local church.
Our family also consists of our adorable white cat named Casper. 🙂
I hope you will stick around as I share how to craft, thrift, DIY, paint, organize, decorate, and turn our house into a home on a budget. Hopefully, you will be inspired to do the same!
I am on stories daily on Instagram if you want to see lots of behind the scenes, you can also follow me on facebook, or on twitter, or subscribe to receive new posts by email.
