Shaykh Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar born in Accra, Ghana specialises in various Islamic sciences including Islamic Law, Jurisprudence and Arabic. The Shaykh also specialises in comparative religion which led him to memorising the Quran and the Bible. His greatest achievements lie in his affiliations in which he helps various organisations with advice and guidance. Shaykh Ahmed Tijani has travelled to over 115countries giving lectures, presentations, conferences and other public gatherings.
The Shaykh also has an interest in , astronomy, spiritual science, healing, divine poetry and chanting, fine arts and culture.
Tijani spends his time between the United States and Africa. He has been involved in peacemaking work in Chicago’s inner cities and inter-faith activity across the world. He is an ardent public opponent of literalism and extreme Wahhabi theology.

Shaykh Ahmed Tijani is the leader of the Tijaniyyah group, which came to the United States in the 1970’s. He is also the National Advisor to International Association of Sufism USA; Advisor to Islamic Studies and Research Association ISSRA USA; President and Imam to Universal Islamic Center USA; Member of the World Council of Religious Leaders under the auspices of The United Nations Millennium World Peace Summit.

Tijani has two sons, Abul Feid-Ahmed Tijani and Muhammed Salis-Ahmed Tijani.
He studied and memorised the Qur’an at the age of 15 and the Bible by the age of 20.
