Indian middle class seethes at growing phenomenon of political parties taking their tax money and spraying it among the more numerous poorer classes to buy their votes.
Well this is how a half baked info n knowledge is, it’s ok not anyone’s fault indeed. So it means that our people did not have the will to do what they stood up for. Let’s not degrade their dedication, not there on ground be judgemental of their efforts.
Please search n see what work had our Navy done and saved lives, half info is dangerous ma’am.
Indian navy could not even rescue our fishermen stranded after cyclone ockhi, whereas a small nation like Thailand had the will to pull off this amazing feat because they wanted to rescue the kids
Well a half baked info kind of like this, so it’s not anyone’s fault.
So you mean to say our guys did not as they didn’t want to, I should congratulate all those people who hold this opinion on their mind.
Well let’s not be thankless to the efforts n without being on ground not be judgemental.
An excellent feat n a highly courageous n appreciable step by the Thai divers n officials, a kind of history created applauded all the way through. We all stand by it.
But to state India’s incapability I have an objection we have shown immense courage let our capacities n capabilities tested at various times of need, even if lacked facilities.

With due respect, Cmde Dhankar is way off the mark here. It is not the Navy’s job to carry out cave rescues, but the NDRF’s. The Navy must concentrate on building up capabilities pertinent to its core requirements. Submarine rescue should be the first on that list. Cave rescue divers can be trained by the NDRF through its resources.
All those persons who had participated in the rescue of the thai football team are private persons and not in any way related to any of the defence forces of any country. The Thai and the US Nevy seals failed and only after that the Government of Thailand called the England amateur diving association for help. They came and were successful in bringing out the 13 Thai Football team out of the cave. So it is natural that no nevy on this earth has the capability to do submerged cave diving. Indian Nevy is no different. Only a handful of persons have this capability.
One of the capabilities the Indian Navy should acquire is how to rescue sailors from a stricken submarine. The failure to do so had marked a somber start to Vladimir Putin’s presidency.
Some of the western divers from the UK, Canada and Denmark who made this incredible rescue successful are just regular white-collar professionals who have acquired expertise in diving. This is made possible only when a country offers facilities, opportunity and infrastructure to pursue such activities. India suffers from the lack of it just as it lags behind in regular sports, unable to win a healthy medal tally in Olympics despite the so called demographic dividend. While Britain is no longer a country of shopkeepers, India is certainly populated with youngsters who cannot do much beyond call centre jobs.
