I have a million asks to answer so I thought I would start with this one. No I am not dead. Adult stuff happened.
I know I promised to post more this year but right after I said that I landed a very demanding job and bought an abandoned house that took months to make habitable.
I have free time now that things have calmed down, and plan to go back to casually posting. I also now have a 10 week old kitten who is a bit of a handful. She likes to bite laptop wires so be patient with me.
So Yes, I am still here. I am not dead. I see and read all of your messages. I will try to post again and answer all of your asks.

Thank you, I dont set out to give people a sleepless night but it is always nice to hear when I do.
I recommend reading something that isn’t scary to take your mind off it so you can get some sleep. Novels are my go-to thing to distract me from scary things. Or silly internet videos.
The O’Hare Mansion once stood in Greencastle, Indiana. It has since been demolished but has left behind a legacy of some of the best pieces of paranormal photography every captured.
A man called Guy Winters was convinced by some friends to join them in exploring the ruins of old mansion. The building, which had been built by the O’Hare family in the 1800s, had been out of use and had fallen into disrepair. During his exploration of the house Guy took many photos of the building and when he had those pictures developed he was shocked to see ghostly apparitions in the finished photographs. Upon further examination he also found that the spirits appeared on the orginal negatives for the images.
These ghosts have been nicknamed the Pink and Gold Ladies. Guy sent the photos to a tv station who tacked down the surviving members of the O’Hare family. He met with Mary O’Hare who recognised the Pink Lady in the photos as her mother, Irene O’Hare, and told him that the room the Pink Lady is standing in was once her mother’s bedroom.

Anonymity is one thing, & I understand completely about being disinclined to do the You Tube thing. However,..An individual such as yourself, being rather, well read, on the subject of cryptids, would be beyond valuable, to a “serious” expedition. One whose motives were NOT ratings, marketability, or profit. To find, to verify the truth, the existence of cryptids, or, as of yet, mysterious creatures completely unknown to science. Would you be consider participating or advising such a project?
Oh I am not anonymous at all. I am a blogger, not spider-man. And yes I would be interested in doing a project like that or advising on one. It is just all of the invitations I get from Youtubers is to sit in on their spooky themed vlogs, especially around Halloween. I have no interest in doing that whole cheesy thing for views. If someone approached me with something interesting, non-cheesy and was something I could actually take part in geographically, I would consider it. Not being a Halloween prop for a cheesy Youtube vlog.
Well this is a post I never thought I would have to make in my dizziest day dreams. This is just a little post to say that I don’t do YouTube appearances. I have had quite a few people ask me to guest or co-host on their channels or be part of their podcasts to talk about spooky things so I want to make an overall post to tell people that I don’t do that. I have never made a vlog before so I am not used to talking to cameras etc. So I am generally not comfortable with the whole thing. Also I live in Ireland, it is kinda a rock in the middle of nowhere. So let me remain a social recluse who lives on a rock and posts scary things.
Also I promise to post more in 2017, it is one of my resolutions. 2016 has been a bit of a hodgepodge of horribleness and misery for me so that messed blogging up a tiny bit. See you all in the new year!
The French and Belgian anti-Santa, Père Fouettard’s name means “Whipping Father” as he carries a whip to beat naughty children around Christmas. He is usually described as having a sinister face with a long unkempt beard and hair. He wears long dark robes and carries a whip or stick to carry out his work. In some stories he has a wicker backpack, which he uses to carry bad children away. Some versions of
Père Fouettard dress identically to Saint Nicholas except his suit is black instead of red.
When he was a mortal man Père Fouettard was a butcher who kidnapped three little boys who were on their way to school. The boys were wealthy so he robbed them off their belongings before murdering them. He slit their throats, chopped them into small pieces and placed the body parts into a barrel to stew. His crime was discovered by Saint Nicholas, who brought the boys back to life. Saint Nicholas decided to punish Père Fouettard by making him his assistant for all eternity.
