MOnster Burger
Trick or treat? Have some fun this Halloween with these creepy, yet incredibly tasty burgers. Absolutely Spookilicious!
what you need
- 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Pulled Pork
- 4 rashers SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon
- 1 onion, sliced into rings
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- ½ cup plain flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 coleslaw
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 brioche buns
- 4 stuffed olives
- 2 birds eye chillies
- Toothpicks
how to make it
- Prepare onion fries by combining onion powder and flour in a bowl and coating onion rings in dry mix. Next, roll the onion ring in the egg and repeat with flour mix.
- In a deep fryer or oil filled deep fry-pan, fry onion in batches and set aside to drain on paper towel.
- Add mayonnaise to coleslaw and mix well.
- Cook bacon over med. heat for 5 mins or until desired crispiness is achieved. Set aside on paper towel to drain.
- Cook pulled pork in the same pan according to pack instructions.
- Assemble burger by layering pulled pork, coleslaw, fried onions and bacon onto each bun base, then top with bun lid. Use bacon rasher to create a tongue for your monster.
- With toothpicks, secure stuffed olives as eyes and chilli’s as horns. For extra fun add false Dracula teeth.
- Serve and enjoy!
You can’t go wrong with pulled pork. Especially slow cooked Aussie pulled pork that’s faster to make than baked beans on toast. It’s a big claim, but this might be the best thing since sliced bread… The only hard bit is deciding how to eat it – sliders, nachos, tacos, wraps, salads, pasta,- or you could forget that and just grab a fork.
