Leeds United have announced that Marcelo Bielsa has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The Argentine’s old deal ran out at the end of last season, but that did not stop him from overseeing the day-to-day operations at Thorp Arch over the summer.

This will be the fourth season the 66-year-old has spent with Leeds as he looks to extend his longest stay at a single club.
He has managed 140 games for the Elland Road club, recording a win percentage of 52.85%, the second-highest in Leeds’ history behind Don Revie.
A few close shaves, including the ‘spygate’ incident and Leeds’ failure to get promoted via the play-offs at the end of his first season at the club, could have seen his reign in West Yorkshire cut short, but fortunately for supporters El Loco is set to terrorise the Premier League with his relentless attacking style for at least one more campaign.
