Bengaluru: Hubli Tigers and Mysuru Warriors reached the semifinals of the Maharaja Trophy T20 tournament here on Saturday. Tigers beat Mangaluru Dragons by five wickets while Warriors secured an eight-wicket win over Gulbarga Mystics here on Saturday.
Manvanth Kumar bagged five wickets for the Tigers to guarantee a first-place finish on the points table.

Manvanth (5/33) restricted Dragons to 167/9 in 20 overs before Md Taha (51 off 23 balls) and skipper Manish Pandey (56n.o off 33 balls) took Hubli to a comfortable win.
BR Sharath gave Dragons a quick start scoring 40 runs off 23 balls. Rohan Patil (34) and KV Siddharth (53) added 60 runs for the second wicket before Siddharth and Thippa Reddy added 48 runs for the third wicket to help Dragons breach the 150 mark. But Manvanth stepped in to restrict them to 167.
Taha brought up his half-century in 21 balls before Manish took over. With 41 runs required off the final six overs, it a was a fairly easy run on the home stretch for the Tigers.
ALL-ROUND WARRIORS
The Warriors delivered with both bat and ball in the day’s second match. First up, slow left-arm J Suchith scalped three wickets, restricting the Mystics to 153/7. Opener R Samarth led from the front during the chase as he remained unbeaten on 62 to help his team reach the target in the 18th over. Lankesh also chipped in with 39 n.o.
