New software for HSSC amid row over group C recruitment

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has introduced a new software for candidates to fill their preferred job categories for group C recruitment exams. Candidates can now fill their preferences in order, instead of selecting based on qualifications. However, some candidates believe that these changes are just a tactic to keep them busy while the commission further delays the exams. So far, exams have been conducted for only two out of 63 categories of group C.

As for the process, the applicants will have to upload the preference form on the website after self attesting its printed version. “We had conducted a trial run of the website on Friday and rectified the mistakes we spotted,” a spokesperson from the commission said.
Meanwhile, candidates claimed that the changes are only to keep the applicants busy while the commission delays the exams even further. Aarti Bhadana, a TGT in geography, said, “It seems like we have been waiting forever to take the exams. The commission thinks they are doing us a favour. They don’t realise that the vacancies are also creating troubles for them. Let alone hiring, they are not even announcing the exams. It is already a long process. They want to keep us busy in formalities so that we don’t react too much about the delay.”
