Students raise awareness for a clean city

Dental students of Tatyasaheb Kore Dental College and Research Centre took up an exhaustive cleanliness drive in the village of Talsande. The campaign which ended only recently was carried out in many parts.
It started with creating awareness about the importance of cleanliness in various schools of the village. Besides, awareness about cleanliness was also spread amongst the villagers through prabhat pheris. In fact, going a step further, the students even visited households to ensure that the seed of cleanliness is deeply rooted amongst the people. Other ways in which the message was spread included use of arts like song, dance and paintings. Besides the students even did shramdan to construct toilets to reduce open defecation.
