Well one such delicacy is ‘Fufu’ from West Africa which has taken the internet by storm and we just can’t stop drooling over it!

What is Fufu?
Originally a dish from West Africa, Fufu is a spongy dough recipe made with the goodness of veggies. Prepared by boiling or pounding starch-rich veggies, which is rolled into a small shaped ball which is then flattened from one side. This dish is served with small portions of Egusi, which is a spicy soup made with meat, melon seeds, veggies and a mélange of spices.
The soft, spicy and mushy delight is a staple in countries like Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. However, every region has a unique way of preparing and serving this dish.

Why is the internet going gaga over Fufu?
This West African dish grabbed the attention of netizens, when a food blogger posted a small video of enjoying soft, mushy fufu with spicy chicken Egusi. The way of eating it is much like a quintessential Indian style of eating with clean hands. The video garnered massive views and over 1.6 lakh posts with the hashtag Fufu! The eye grabbing dish is certainly tempting, which has also led to a Fufu challenge.
