As reported earlier, Noida International Airport (NIA) is gearing up to start operations from April 17, 2025, which will make air travel hassle free for people in many ways. Further, with the opening of the airport, travel to some of North India’s most iconic tourist destinations will become much easier to access. Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the NIA’s strategic positioning near the Yamuna Expressway will reduce travel times to several popular spots, making it an ideal entry point for tourists. Agra

Agra is one of the most visited towns in India. Home to the famed Taj Mahal, Agra is on the travel wishlist of Indians as well as foreign tourists. The opening of NIA would drastically cut down on the time it takes for travellers to get to Agra from Noida. While from Delhi Airport, travel till Agra usually takes around 4 hours, whereas from NIA the travel time will be cut down to 2 hours.

Mathura, revered as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is a city of profound religious and cultural importance. A major pilgrimage site, it draws millions of devotees and visitors each year. Previously, Delhi Airport was the nearest major airport to Mathura. However, with the inauguration of the Noida International Airport (NIA), the travel time to Mathura will be reduced to just about 90 minutes. This development will make it significantly easier for tourists to reach Mathura and experience its vibrant temples, serene ghats, and the iconic Holi celebrations.

Currently, traveling from Delhi International Airport to Vrindavan takes over three hours.
