The Perfect Couple
Summary: It’s Nantucket wedding season, also known as summer-the sight of a bride racing down Main Street is as common as the sun setting at Madaket Beach. The Otis-Winbury wedding promises to be an event to remember: the groom’s wealthy parents have spared no expense to host a lavish ceremony at their oceanfront estate.
But it’s going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons after tragedy strikes: a body is discovered in Nantucket Harbor just hours before the ceremony-and everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect. As Chief of Police Ed Kapenash interviews the bride, the groom, the groom’s famous mystery-novelist mother, and even a member of his own family, he discovers that every wedding is a minefield-and no couple is perfect. Featuring beloved characters from The Castaways, Beautiful Day, and A Summer Affair, The Perfect Couple proves once again that Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of the summer beach read.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I really don’t know why I put reading this book off for so long- I love EH books. It had a mystery. And I thought the cover was great.
But anyway- it sat on my shelf unread for way too long.
Here in the last few months- I’ve been trying to balance my reading schedule- read a book from my shelf, read a review book recently published or publishing soon, read a review book that has published in the last few months. It’s not scientific and I don’t always follow my plan- but I’m trying- especially since I’m trying to slog through a backlist of books on Netgalley.
What I Liked:
The cover- and to exactly who those feet belong to- well we have several options (but I’m hoping for one particular pair
How the story was laid out- telling the story currently as well as chapters from the past really made this book work. I loved how EH laid the story out.
Celeste. Out of all the characters in the book- she was my favorite. So real and fresh- especially compared to some of the other characters.
Bottom line: I picked this book up on a whim Wednesday night before bed and by Friday afternoon- it was done. I was very sucked into this book!

I have this book sitting on my entry table….found it at a yard sale for $1. Just haven’t had a chance to read it yet!
Nice deal!!!! Hope you enjoy!
I need to check my shelves to see if I have it.
That is SO how I am about EH books. I buy many of hers on bargain tables and B&N and I constantly have to check to see if I have one before I buy it.
