Huge 1980 Mosler Commercial Safe with Keys and Combo WEIGHS A TON
For sale I have a nice Mosler commercial safe. It is very large and roomy inside measuring about 38 1/2 x 38 1/2 x 33 1/2 inches. Inside it contains locking drawers but you could remove them if you needed the extra space. I do have the combination and the keys to the drawers. It is a very heavy duty and high quality safe. Of course it is too big and bulky to ship anywhere so it is being offered for local pickup only. It will be an easy pickup from my garage. Pinky's will tow it anywhere in the city limits for $50 but you will need a pallet jack or forklift to get it unloaded. I could borrow one and get it loaded on the flatbed truck for you to make things easier but if you want me to unload it as well I am going to have to charge a little for my time. This is a Mosler filing cabinet safe. It was used by the Fed Gov't in D.C. and sold at auction. Model# SF-C5. It has five drawers that are for legal size documents. The drawers are 16" wide, 10" high and 24" deep. The cabinet is 5 feet high, 20" wide and 28" deep. IT WEIGHS 600 POUNDS. No kidding, there's a plate on the base saying so. It has a 3 digit combination, which I do have and will give to the buyer. It can be opened and closed without locking by using the latch and not spinning the dial. This Mosler 5 drawer legal size safe is a monster and the perfect solution to storing your valuables. Gold, silver, ammo, passport, tax returns, or other important papers. Combination is known and any competent locksmith should be able to change it to your own in under an hour. This particular file safe was built in 1989 and at one time stored classified information for the Army in Maryland. You won't find anything like these at your local wally world or office warehouse! Vintage Mosler Safe - Heavy well built with 5 digit combination lock
Hello. This is a vintage Mosler safe that has been used for years in a retail store. It has a heavy base that seems to be solid concrete and the top half is a double walled iron safe or small vault that will keep your valubles protected from theft. The huge iron door twists into the front of the safe, and locks behind large iron tabs so that the only way to get the door open is to rotate with the gear mechanism which is guarded using a 5 digit combination. Whew, this thing small in size measuring 20w x 35h x 15d and it is heavy, but that is exactly what will keep it from being carried out of your home or business by a theif. I would not be able to guess what the actual weight is, but it is so heavy that we have to move it by rolling it on metal pipes.
