Regal 5-AS Super Saw Meat Band Saw
Up for Auction is a Regal 5-AS"Super" Meat Band Saw. It runs on single phase 120v power. The saw runs great but could use some TLC before being put to work in a butcher shop. As shown it cuts wood great and had no problem ripping a 6x8 piece of#2 douglas fir. The cast aluminum base is broken as shown in the first picture. But the saw is still very stable. This is one HEAVY saw and I would guess weighs between 350 and 400lbs. Shipping will be by freight and I will strap it to a pallet and deliver it to the nearest freight depot. For your bidding pleasure, A nice Hobart meat cutting saw. This was owned by a fellow in southern Ohio that did his own butchering. I have not been able to find the actual model number on it but it looks most like one of these 2 models. He had this saw broken down and repainted and had it converted to 110V. The motor is new never used. I had to put all the loose parts back together when I got it. The motor is a 1.5 HP. The on/off switch is now on the bottom side right on the motor. For your bidding pleasure. I just picked up this band saw. It has been tested and is fully functional. There seems to be a piece missing from the saw where the arm raises and lowers from the body but it does not appear to be needed(see pics where I have raised and lowered it) It fits snug. The twist knob that moves the meat holder was broken but has been repaired. It still moves easily and does a very good job. It works fine although not a pretty welding job(see pic) It runs smooth though it is sold as-is and needs cleaned up. Everything is there! All of the moving parts slide very smoothly. Very easy to dismantle and put back together. It comes with about 5 extra blades that are not pictured. These cost about $20 bucks each.
