1948ء میں اسرائیل کی تشکیل کے بعد ریاستہائے متحدہ، برطانیہ، روس، فرانس اور چین نے اس ملک کو تسلیم کر لیا۔ موجودہ دور میں بیش تر ممالک، جن میں البانیہ جیسے مسلمان اکثریتی ممالک بھی ہیں، وہ اسرائیل کو تسلیم کر چکے ہیں۔ بھارت نے اسرائیل سے مکمل سفارتی تعلق 1992ء میں قائم کیا جبکہ سعودی عرب نے 2018 میں سفر کی اجازت دے دی ہے اور اب متحدہ عرب امارات نے بھی اسرائیل کو تسلیم کر لیا ہے جس پر فلسطینیوں نے احتجاج کیا اور کہا یہ ہماری پھیٹ پر چھرا گھونپنے کے مترادف ہے جبکہ ترکی متحدہ عرب امارات سے سفارتی تعلقات ختم کرنے کے بارے میں سوچ رہا ہے جس کا عندیہ ترک صدر رجب طیب اردوغان نے ایک میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے دیا جبکہ سعودی حکمرانوں نے خاموشی اختیار کر لی ہے۔[1][2][3][4]
