Titusville’s Dante Mitchell returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, and Sebastian River missed an extra point late in the third quarter to give the Terriers a 10-9 victory over the Sharks.

Sebastian River took a 3-0 lead with 33 seconds to play before the half on a 25-yard field goal by Andres Magana.

On the ensuing kickoff, Mitchell returned the kickoff for a score, and Christian Shinholster’s extra point put Titusville up 7-3 at the half.

Shinholster increased the Terriers’ lead to 10-3 with a 27-yard field goal with 3:12 to play in the third quarter.

Sebastian River marched down the field on its next drive and scored on a 10-yard run by Danuel Oscar just before the third quarter ended.

The ensuing kick was no good, and Titusville clung to a 10-9 lead.

Neither team could get much traction in the fourth until Sebastian River got the ball into field goal territory late in the quarter.

With 26 seconds remaining in the game, Magana missed a 30-yard field goal, and Titusville held on for the win.

Titusville stays on the road next week, heading to Lake Brantley in Altamonte Springs.

The Terriers will play their home opener on Sept. 11 after playing its first two games of the season on the road.
