At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.

A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi! My name is Meghan Sliwa, and I am honored to be serving as our Chapter President this year.

When I think of the people that have made my college experience what it is, I immediately think of all the amazing women in this chapter. Not only have I found lifelong friends, but I have also found women that push me to be the best version of myself. The women in this chapter have a vast assortment of interests and talents, and they each bring something different to our sisterhood. They have encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone, while showing constant love, respect and support every step of the way. Every day I wonder how I got so blessed with all of these amazing women that make me smile a little bigger and laugh a little harder through the ups and downs of life.

As Chapter President, I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, valued for the person they are, and empowered to conquer the world. My family is my entire world, and I have taken my presidency as an opportunity to add an additional three hundred sisters to my family. I truly mean it when I say that I am proud to call each and every woman in our chapter my sister. When people meet members of our chapter, I am confident they will feel our sense of family, determination to be leaders within the chapter and on campus, and our passion to give back to the community.

The future is bright with the women of Alpha Delta Pi stepping into the world. I am beyond thrilled to see all of the amazing things Alpha Kappa chapter will accomplish in this upcoming year. Hopefully, I will leave a little sparkle in my footsteps when I finish my role as President (everyone that knows me knows I LOVE sparkles). Please enjoy this website as it will give you a glimpse into the amazing sisterhood that we have in Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Tennessee.
