Daisy Edgar-Jones
Daisy Edgar-Jones (born May 24, 1998) is a British actor known for her roles in "Normal People," "Under the Banner of Heaven" and "Where the Crawdads Sing."
Edgar-Jones began her career with the TV series "Cold Feet" (2016-2020) and "War of the Worlds" (2019-2021), and made her feature film debut in 2018's "Pond Life," directed by Bill Buckhurst. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Marianne alongside Paul Mescal as Connell in "Normal People," an adaptation of the novel by Sally Rooney. Edgar-Jones earned nominations for a Golden Globe and British Academy Television Award for her performance in the 2020 miniseries.
In 2022, Edgar-Jones starred in the comedy-thriller "Fresh" opposite Sebastian Stan and the true crime miniseries "Under the Banner of Heaven" alongside Andrew Garfield and Sam Worthington. She earned her second Golden Globe nomination for her role as Brenda Lafferty in "Under the Banner of Heaven." Edgar-Jones also played Kya Clark in the film adaptation of "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. Other notable credits include "Twisters," "On Swift Horses," "Gentleman Jack," "Outnumbered" and "Silent Witness."
