Today I have on offer this Huge Original Antique Victorian Dump glass paperweight doorstop which has a large pontil mark to the base and a multi bubble design. It is in very good condition general wear with age and use rough pontil base mark. Please note this is not a refurbished piece and has not been repolished like many up for sale. My great uncle who was an accountant for Browne& Sharpe of R.I. many moons ago, had this interesting paperweight that sat on his solid oak rolltop desk for many years and used it as a pencil holder/paperweight! When he passed, no one seemed to want it and because I had admired it and it fascinated me so, it was given to me. Now I'm trying to down size, as my husband said, I'm a packrat and should give someone else the opportunity to enjoy it now! This is an antique hand blown art glass paperweight dated 1887. It is in excellent condition considering the age. No chips or cracks. It is clear glass with red. White, and blue colors inside. On the inside close to the bottom it has a cracked glass rectangle piece with black writing"1887" Some of the pictures just shows a little of it. You have to hold it at sort of an angel to see it. Up for sale is an antique Art Nouveau wired table decor tree with clear glass leaves on a heavy glass base. For sale is an intriguing Art Nouveau table or shelf decor glass tree. Sometimes referred to as a Victorian curio. This wired table tree with clear molded glass leaves stands on a heavy glass base. The metal wires that form the branches and stems have been wrapped in some sort of silver thread and tape. Attached to its various stems are fifteen molded glass leaves. And six curling, blown glass vines. The leaves are so detailed there are veins running through them. One of the leaves is broken in half; a second one was broken and carefully glued back together. It is in green glass as typically found for these pieces and they were thought to be made at provincial glass factories. This example is of torpedo shape and has a disc foot for added stability. It has been quite carefully made for its type and it features three tiered flowers set with air bubble centers and a pot beneath. This auction is for an interesting antique glass paperweight from John G. Shedd Aquarium in Grant Park. Chicago, IL. Encased in the glass is a curled up sea horse. On the back of the paperweight, there is a description about"The Sea Horse. The paper on which the description is printed has worn in many places making it difficult to read the entire paragraph however it is mostly understandable as many of the words that are missing can be figured out. The paperweight has a diameter of slightly less than 3 1/4" It is about 1 1/4" tall. There appear to be some small bugs around the sea horse and there may be some of the sea horse missing/broken off near the neck area.

This beautiful paperweight has a base of white floating about 1/4 of the way from the bottom. With a whole array of colors on top of it, including lots of sparkly gold(aventurine? Then the layer above the colored one has 12 bubbles, all nicely spaced. There is a visible pontil on the bottom, and a good bit of wear to the base. Antique Victorian Mourning Photo Child Girl Goofus Glass Paperweight Star RARE
antique glass paperweight/ wall hanging Glass. With Mourning photo encased inside. This was intended to be a paperweight with a magnifying effect but someone has added a chain to the back and made it a wall hanging- you could carefully remove this and make it a paperweight again if desired. measures 5.5" wide and very heavy this is a Victorian style piece and of antique age being late 1800's or early 1900's. I have seen one other exact star frame with a young man in it, and it dated the piece on back to early 1900's from what I remember. I assume this one was done at the same time from the way it looks and being the same frame. Also as a glass collector, I have tested the age of the glass to be before 1915 because of the Apple green colored glow it gives when introduced to a special Long wave black light. meaning it was made ... moreduring the period the glass formula was made with uranium or manganese. The glass formula changed after around 1915 and it did not give this glow anymore. Condition: If you notice the last few photos above you will see there is some white specks over the girl- it looks as if some moisture or debris was somehow encased in between the layers of glass and when turned a certain angle you can see the dots. When turned another angle the dots are not as or noticeable. There is also one little chip on the back of 1 star point, this can be seen in photo above where I pointed it out with my finger but no one will ever see it. Despite the cosmetic wear it has endured over the last 100 yrs or so. this is still a collectible and interesting piece. Stunning Antique Early Victorian End of Day Scrambled Glass Paperweight
Here on offer is a stunning antique late Georgian or early Victorian end of day scrambled glass paperweight. The glass workers in the Georgian and Victorian periods would put together the fragments form the day and before they left would often make attractive decorative items to take home. These things all come together under the name‘end of day glass. This piece has been made from candy twists of many different colours with some speckled gold fragments included. It is formed into a sinuous bubble form with a cover of clear glass. The pontil is clearly seen on the base of this hand-made piece. The paperweight is in great shape with almost no damage. The end of day glass paperweight is offered good antique condition. It measures about 6.5cm in diameter by 3cm and weighs 228g. A great collectable. ANTIQUE KILNER with COLOURED GLASS BEADS and SILVER FOIL FLOWERS DUMP WEIGHT c.1830 With my limited photography skills. I wasn't able to capture the glass wafer with clearly visible mark. The mark is a mixture of strong characters and characters almost non-readable: J KILneR at the top- mAKER in the center-W.ield with almost non-discernible other characters at the bottom. The letters on my weight are raised and all capitals. I used small letters to show letters which are less'pronounced' The wafer does look less like ground down. More like not properly impressed. In my mind- no doubt- this is an authentic Kilner. The most important characteristic is the shape- the most desired flattened globular appearance of classic weight. RARE. There are 6 flowers inside the silver foil'basket' or'pot' with multi-colored centers: ... moreone baby-blue. One cobalt-blue, two blood-red and two almost black/dark brown( The weight is in a fair condition- a few surface nicks and scratches. One bruise- but there is an annealing crack across it. I was told that this could be'fatal' it may fall apart even in the sunlight. For now. However, it is solid and the crack adds a dimension to the glass dump- at least according to my aesthetics. It measures 8 cm/3 1/4' Width diameter x 7 cm/2 3/4' Height. It weights 760 g. I will wrap it and put in a small tin box. Then in a bigger carton box. Shipping will cost $15-$25 to Canada. Antique Glass Paperweight #41 Spirals of Bubbles and Miniscule Black Bits
This paperweight was the hardest to photograph. But definitely one of the coolest. There's a feeling of looking into space when you gaze into it. The central bubble is the biggest, then there are the four outer bubbles, but circling around these big bubbles is a spiraling trail of tiny bubbles, with bits of black in with them. It's beautiul, and very mysterious. I think it's old because it's got a LOT of wear to the base, but it's in excellent condition. VERY SCARCE* OLD ANTIQUE VTG EARLY 1900's BLOWN GLASS TURTLE GLASS WORKERS WHIMSEY PAPERWEIGHT This offering is for an early 1900's hand made Glass Workers Turtle Whimsey. The turtle would have been made by a glass worker as a lunch hour or whimsey likely to be used as a paperweight or doorstop. The turtle is made of solid glass that is clear with a slight yellowish tint probably from selenium used in the glass batch. The turtle measures app. 5 3/4" in overall length and 3 3/4" in width with a height of app. 2" The craftsmanship is typical featuring head. Legs and a paddle shaped tail. There is also a small glass protrusion on one side between the legs where it looks like the glass batch rod was removed. The glass has lots of character with creases, folds and wrinkles from hand manipulation while the glass was still ... moremolten. The condition is excellent with no damage. There are no chips or cracks and only minor wear. Overall the turtle exhibits a fine example of the glass makers craftsmanship and design and will make an excellent addition to someone's collection, shouldn't it be yours! Antique Victorian Mercury Glass Table Decoration Vase Paperweight Rare? Not sure exactly what this was used. The top portion is solid glass that looks like it was silvered like a mirror on the back. The base is hollow like normal mercury glass pieces would be. Does not seperate. They are as one. Stands about 6" tall. 3" wide and the base is 2 3/8" diameter. Looks to have a lot of age. Overall very good condition. Does have a few minor chips on top edges. Happy to answer questions.

Offering to you for your consideration is this Antique oval glass picture paperweight. This has the picture of Jesus of Prague. This measures 1 inch tall x 5 inches long x 3-5/8th inch wide. The gold paint on the back of this is missing on the top part of the glass. Actually I don't know if this is original to the paperweight. It almost appears if the whole picture was hand done. The leaves on the sides of baby jesus comes up on the side. I really don't have any knowledge of this other than it belonged to my mom for a long while. Maybe somebody added the leaves and the paint. Or maybe this was how it came originally. Either way I do believe this to be an old piece. Please examine photos. I have provided several for your inspection
