Like predators do what they do, they don't #### around. They follow their generic programming to a T. So many natural gifts like our intellect and capablity for abstract thought and self awarenes and we waste it squabbling like children over meaningless ####. (Actually children live better than we do because they're not yet entrenched in rigid and closed minded belief systems so I take that back). What species destroys and sabotages itself like humans? Literal effort is spent by people trying to discredit and protesting against science instead of contributing to and advancing it. Hours of energy spent shouting from the rooftops about how politicians are scummy and getting worked up about it instead of using all that time getting involved in the system and being a voice for change. What good is your existence if thats what you spend it on? All for what, the occasional fleeting reward of feeling right and saying "told you so" to a left leaning acquaintance or coworker online? (I actually think this is the existence many Trump supporters choose to lead.. living to protest the left!) What good are you doing? What are you contributing that gives it all meaning, other than petty, self-serving motives that ultimately end in you putting up walls and being at odds with your neighbors? We all know it feels better not to be. Are we here to be right/feel vindicated, or to find solutions and prosper? I'd argue that the ego is the worst thing to develop in humans, but some have definitely leaned into theirs more than others. __________________

It's interesting to me that the only place I can remember seeing menstrual products in a male washroom is in the US. I've never seen it in Thailand, where I spend a lot of time, even though it is possibly the most accepting and normalised place for trans people in the world. It makes me wonder how much is driven by gender politics versus necessity. (I'm not coming from any particular angle, it's just an interesting observation.) __________________ Shot down in Flames! | | | 01-23-2025, 08:38 AM | #4267 | #1 Goaltender | Quote: Originally Posted by MRCboicgy The menstrual products in men's bathrooms is such a dogwhistle, and intellectually ingenuous. There's such a vocal (mostly male) segment of the population that is offended by anything to do with women's menstruation. Some fathers don't allow their daughters to put anything relation to their menstruation in the bathroom garbage because the son might see it. Somehow the idea that women bleed once a cycle fills them with horror and there is jut no reason for it. | | | 01-23-2025, 08:53 AM | #4268 | Franchise Player

That progressives see conservatives as always wrong. That progressives equals better and conservative worse, which for many people isnt true. Anyways, not here to convince just educate on what some see as a favorable development. Next time you have a friendly chat with these folks, ask them why they possibly give a s### about any of this. Conservatives and right wingers spend a really creepy, unhealthy amount of time thinking about what's between people's legs, and how they can insert themselves into the bedrooms of people they don't even know. I know you're serious about this, but for whatever reason the only thing that came to my mind was...you know those condom dispensers they have in gas station bathrooms? Its like...alright! Maybe I'm getting lucky tonight! But no human in their right mind would buy one of those. They are liable to turn to dust the second you open the package because they've probably been in there since the Nixon administration. So now you have to decide whether you want to roll those dice. So I'm thinking about the poor girl looking at the tampon dispenser in the boy's bathroom and....she's gotta be desperate and thats a real 'Sophie's Choice.' "How old are those? How long have they been there?" That kind of thing. __________________ The Beatings Shall Continue Until Morale Improves! | Trudeau should fall on the sword for Canada in his last act. Call Trump up and shower him with flattery, and the tariffs won't happen. Sir, I have never ever seen a better US economy than since you took office two days ago. Joe Biden is seriously sleepy and crooked. Sir, you are absolutely 6'3" and 215 lbs. I have grown men coming up to me daily saying they wish Canada had a PM like Trump instead of a little wimpy boy like me. Truly, you are the greatest. Even Melania phoned me last night to tell me that you have be biggest #### she's ever been with, and she's been with PLENTY - so she tells me sir. Next day at presser: Trump Grants Canada Specially Ally designation, no tariffs and free trade guaranteed for 99 years. | | | The Following User Says Thank You to CroFlames For This Useful Post: | |
