NAVIGATION-Cruising and Maritime Themes

Lisbon is nowadays one of the main Cruise Ship destinations in Europe, the Portuguese Capital is visited during this time of the year almost on daily basis, and last week was no exception. Seen above on photos taken from the 23rd to the 30th of May, OCEAN MAJESTY one of the oldest cruise ships still afloat, built in 1966, the HANSEATIC, the brand new EUROPA 2 on her maiden voyage, AIDA VITA, COLUMBUS 2, OCEAN PRINCESS and FTI BERLIN.

I have spent the last few days in Lisbon the place where I was born, in my opinion one of the most beautiful European cities and quite frankly one of the most spectacular places to photograph ships. Lisbon's natural harbour despite its beauty is blessed with a superb light, difficult to match anywhere else. On this particular occasion I was together with Friends, also with the same interest so it was quite a gathering for ship spotting, this post is dedicated to them for the friendship and the wonderful moments we spent together, the photos included were taken between the 29th of April and the 2sd of May and is a sign of things to come on this blog in the next few days
