A scholar at Emory University resigned his position at the school this week after a report revealed what the school called 'deeply concerning comments.'

The vote followed a slew of arrests at the private university in connection to its pro-Palestine encampment.

The university said Thursday the 'activists' who started the encampment were not 'recognized' as part of the Emory community.

As tensions over the Israel-Hamas war spread across American college campuses, some professors have shared controversial, perhaps inflammatory viewpoints.

A school spokesperson confirmed to The National Desk the professor no longer works for Emory University.

In a 1982 letter to his then-girlfriend, former President Barack Obama wrote about having sexual fantasies with men, the New York Post reports.

On Saturday, members of the Board of Trustees at Emory & Henry College approved the school to become a university for Fall of 2024.
