Double shooting suspect charged with murder

A man wanted for murdersurrendered in the parking lot of a gas station on Thursday afternoon.

Nicholas Omar O'Quinn surrendered himself to an Escambia County deputy at the Murphy's Gas Station located in the parking lot of Walmart on Mobile Highway at 12:15 p.m.

A family member drove the man to the gas station and assisted with the surrender.

According to reports, O'Quinn opened fire during broad daylight on Aquamarine Avenue killing one person and injuring another.

UPDATE: Judge Robinson charged O'Quinn with one charge of murder, no bond; one charge of attempted murder on a $500,000.00 bond, and two counts of aggravated assault, with a $50,000.00 per count.

The Escambia County jail log shown below displays O'Quinn's many arrests. The list of charges includes multiple counts of aggravated battery, drug and weapon possession.
