Nick and Sofia celebrated their forest farmhouse wedding at Moss Estates, a farmhouse built in the 1930s located on 20 acres of lush landscaping.
When we saw their amazing images, we knew we needed to feature this couple’s beautiful and special forest farmhouse wedding day. Olivia from PolkBros Entertainment shared their experience working with Nick and Sofia.
How did you bring the couple’s vision to life with the services that you provided?
We were happy to provide Nick and Sofia with our photography, videography, and DJ services. These included a 2nd photographer for the full day and an MC for their reception.
We had a blast capturing the moments of their perfect day and keeping the party going with their whole crew!
What was your favorite personal or design detail that was unique to the couple included in this forest farmhouse wedding?
There were a lot of elements that stood out to us about this forest farmhouse wedding – first off, their family was such a strong support of this couple and it was really heart-warming to see. Sofia’s brother acted as the officiant and it added a personal touch to their ceremony.
Throughout the day and into the reception, you could see how much of a celebration this was to everyone.
I also have to mention that our bride achieved her desired bridal look by channeling Arwen from Lord of the Rings with her long hair and flowing bow sleeves. I mentioned that’s who she reminded me of and she was so psyched since that’s who inspired her look.
Tell me more about your roadmap working with this couple.
As a preferred vendor at Moss Estates, we were contacted by Sofia’s mom, Irma, early in their planning. After speaking with her about their needs, we were delighted to add their engagement session and wedding day to our calendar.
Our photographer, Olivia, met Nick and Sofia at one of our favorite spots in Sanford to capture their engagement photos. They had a blast getting to know each other and capturing some really special moments.
On the day of the wedding, our team arrived early to get our equipment set up and walked through the day according to the timeline capturing all the moments from first looks to candid shots.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
Sofia and Nick decided to add on a 2nd photographer which really helps keep the timeline on track and captures some extra moments. Candid photographs and the documentary style are very popular right now.
However, we also know that having some posed shots and family group images is really valuable as time marches on. Having two photographers allows us to capture all of these moments without bogging down the timeline.
Lastly, try to relax and enjoy your day. One of the best ways to do this is by hiring professionals. Working with a planner who keeps your day on track helps us do our jobs in capturing those moments.
We work really well with our local planners and other vendors and having quality professionals on site helps us focus on turning your wedding day moments into works of art that you can enjoy forever.
Congratulations Nick & Sofia on your forest farmhouse real wedding story!
