(InvestigateTV) — Our country’s healthcare system could soon face an emergency of its own.

A 2023 study found 20% of the country’s 4.5 million registered nurses intend to leave the profession in the next few years.

A major culprit for this is burnout.

The Mayo Clinic says burnout can impact nurses’ personal lives and the patients they care for.

Burnout feels like exhaustion. It can be physical exhaustion, but it’s also mental exhaustion.

In Arizona, some nurses who face burnout are choosing to leave the emergency room in favor of aesthetics.
