Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill has consistently been chosen as one of the "Best Places to Live in America" by the press. Chapel Hill was named #2 "Top City To Have It All" by the A&E Channel, Cary chosen as the #4 "Best City Overall", and Raleigh was chosen as the #4 "Best Big City in America" placing ahead of both San Diego and New York city for 2006.
