Discussion
Restricted to "structure Structrae ID"
I added "structure" to the property label, as there are also Structurae IDs for people, but it is one of these annoying databases where different types of items have different URL patterns. --Zolo (talk) 17:31, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Format change?
Is my observation correct, that this database changed the format of the identifiers from 's' or 'p' + 7 digits to new 8 digits? --Pasleim (talk) 11:10, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, apparently. A bot should probably change that. As the older format still works at the moment, it could follow the link and grab the new idea. But from what I can see, simply replacing "s" with "2" would do the trick. ---Zolo (talk) 17:53, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Pasleim, Zolo: so now we have two ID for the same notice on Structurae? It create some violations on Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P454. What should we do? Remove the s+ ID? leave the two IDs? Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 10:24, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- s + Id is just a redirect to the new 8 digit Id. So let's remove all s + Id if the new version is set. --Pasleim (talk) 12:36, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- webmaster@structurae.de: The IDs were changed as follows: The p = 1 , s = 2 followed by the 7 digits.

Is Emporis building ID (P455) constraint relevant ?
Hi,
Emporis building ID (P455) was add by Docu but I'm wondering if it's relevant or not. Right now for 1696 items with Structurae structure ID (P454) there is 1613 violations, ie. 95%!
For there, there is two possibilities :
- few items are in Emporis
- a lots of items are in Emporis but no one put the ID on the items
Does someone know Emporis enough to tell?
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 11:12, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- I think Emporis mostly aims at businesses focuses on recent constructions, especially skyscrapers. Structurae contains more ancient buildings, and also infratructure projects. So I don't think the constraint is really relevant. We can probably find better ways to suggest adding missing ids. --Zolo (talk) 09:04, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
URLs
webmaster@structurae.de: The main URL for the English version of Structurae currently is http://structurae.net and no longer http://en.structurae.de. The old URLs are, however, redirected to the new ones. The site also uses semantic URLs, but the old (s/p+7 digits) and new IDs (8 digits) can still be used to create a valid link which is then redirected to the current semantic URL.
Label disambiguation
Rather than edit-warring over the label, as User:Jura1 and I have been doing now, I should have brought the conversation here, as they first suggested. Jura1 considers that the English-language label should be "Structurae ID (structure)", including the disambiguator, whereas I contend it should be "Structurae ID", without it. My preference is based on what I've seen with other properties and in Help:Label: “labels can be ambiguous” and “disambiguation information belongs in the description”. Jura1 correctly points out, however, that Help:Label is pertinent to items not properties.
Opinions anyone? — OwenBlacker (talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 21:07, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- I wouldn't mind if we had only one, but there is also Structurae person ID (P2418). Contrary to items, it's not possible to have several properties with the same label. For most (if not all) multiple properties for one website, the label already differentiates them @OwenBlacker: --- Jura 21:16, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Jura1: Naming it "Structurae structure ID" feels less weird than "Structurae ID (structure)", for what it's worth :) — OwenBlacker (talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 21:58, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- np, as long as it includes it in one way or the other. @OwenBlacker: --- Jura 11:40, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Jura1: That certainly sounds like an easier solution until-and-unless someone comes up with another :) — OwenBlacker (talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 12:49, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

How do you find the structure Structrae ID?
If you search for a structure in the database by name, e.g. "Storchenbrücke" for Storchenbrücke (Q15060163), you find the page https://structurae.net/structures/storchenbrucke. But how do you find the numeric ID required for this property? --Dipsacus fullonum (talk) 21:47, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- described at URL (P973) contains a few links as well. Ideally, these would be converted to P454 [2]. --- Jura 19:45, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- "But how do you find the numeric ID required for this property?" → @Dipsacus fullonum, Jura1: There's a small info box on structurae web pages, search for "Structure-ID" --FoeNyx (talk) 14:09, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
