Soendazwaluw

[edit]

Hallo Lymantria, You made a wikidata-item of "my" Soendazwaluw. This is a complex taxonomic question. According to the latest IOC checklist this is a subspecies of the taxon Cecropis daurica. However, many languages have the taxon Cecropis striolata as an apart article abusively linked to Cecropis daurica. I tried to link these articles to the Soendazwaluw wikidata-item, but did not succeed. Perhaps it is my lack of insight in the procedure. May be you can fix this? Thanks in advance. Hwdenie (talk) 11:18, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Hwdenie, Je kunt me gewoon in het Nederlands aanspreken hoor. --Lymantria (talk) 13:07, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hwdenie (talk) 20:12, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non of these yield notability, they are advertorials with a lot of promotional language. --Lymantria (talk) 21:33, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AG umwelt.info

[edit]

Hello Lymantria,

you recently deleted our user page https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=User:AGumweltinfo explaining that Wikidata does not host encyclopedic content. We did not intent the user page to be encyclopedic in nature but rather wanted to detail who we are and what we do so that people seeing our edits (which will mainly revolve around organisations related to environmental protection and nature conservation in Germany) can determine their context, i.e. see that we are a German government organization related to environment protection.

Could you recommend a user page that we should follow in designing our own with that target in mind or some general guidelines which we should follow?

Thanks and regards,

AG umwelt.info AGumweltinfo (talk) 08:32, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd recommend you to restrict the info at your user: page to something like We are the branch office of the Federal Environment Agency in Merseburg - the National Centre for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information. We develop and operate the umwelt.info site. Short info about who you are. You may write more about your contributions to Wikidata, but more info on AGumwelginfo as an organisation is not what the user page is meant for. --Lymantria (talk) 08:38, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Will do. Thanks for the quick response! AGumweltinfo (talk) 08:45, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
