[edit]Originally proposed at Wikidata:Property proposal/Generic
Description | qualifier for deprecated P279 statements; example instance or subclass of the item class for which a "subclass of" statement does not hold (alias: "item belonging to the subject class but not the value class") |
---|---|
Represents | counterexample (Q596077) |

See also | excluding (P1011): the labels and aliases of excluding (P1011) suggest completeness, i.e. that its values should cover all exceptions, rather than provide examples. excluding (P1011) is also used to exclude parts of the parent entity, in addition to instances or subclasses of it. |
Motivation
[edit]Used to provide counterexamples to clarify deprecation of subclass of (P279) statements with reason for deprecated rank (P2241) = not all instances of the item are instances of the value class (Q118134102), where such examples are useful, e.g. when counterexamples are not obvious. This will be a curated Wikidata property (Q121928698). Swpb (talk) 18:58, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
