Motivation
[edit]Sometimes date of official opening (P1619) might be used for the date of the opening ceremony, rather than the date of the actual opening. A separation would help. (Alternatively the new property could be the date of the opening ceremony, but I'm not sure.) Jc86035 (talk) 11:20, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Oppose BTW You forgot to add the property name. I think your proposed "date of opening" and date of official opening (P1619) is the same. What you mean is to add the ceremony/announcement, for that I invite you to support "date of first public presentation/announcement" Germartin1 (talk) 14:05, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Germartin1: It's not really the same as the opening ceremony – usually the opening ceremony is after the thing is revealed to exist…? Jc86035 (talk) 14:52, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Rename date of official opening (P1619) to
date of opening
and then use qualifiers whenever one wants to specify a date of official opening. Thierry Caro (talk) 15:05, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
