- I'm also operating global interwikibot, Chobot. After checking interwiki conflict, I'm adding entries to wikidata. I plan to add entries by category in kowp. (Eg, Cities in South Korea, Politicians in South Korea, ...). - 261 test edits is about 211 to 231 more than normal, but let's ignore that for now. At the very least, until actual standards are written, I would not be comfortable unless the bot had a) a bright line cutoff of no more than 30 edits per minute, and b) the ability to recognize when replag is high and shut off temporarily until the servers regain their footing. - After speaking with Merlissimo over IRC, I feel that it would be a good idea to have you do a second test run, just to make sure that the bot works on the new API. If it does, I'll approve this immediately, as the request has lingered for far too long. Merlissimo suggests a test run of 1000 edits. I think that sounds reasonable for this kind of task. - Question. Is there a duplicate check for label/description in the new API? There are TWO king Jeongjong in Goryeo dynasty, the 3rd king (Q493659) and the 10th king (Q494135). When uploading the later by bot, it failed(same title/description?). After changing the description of the later entry, I can create the entity. -- ChongDae (talk) 08:17, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- For example King Jeongjong - 3rd king in the Goryeo dynasty and King Jeongjong - 10th king in the Goryeo dynasty. Jou should always create unique pairs of label and description. Jeblad (talk) 15:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, yes, this. I haven't been on lately, but I really did want to deal with this earlier. Since no one else is being proactive with bot applications, and the test edits were fine, I'm going to approve this. Merlissimo, whom I consulted on IRC, concurs.
