Just wondering: how was the edit that you reverted vandalism? I'd say that "professional" is an accurate description. Schwede66 03:27, 18 June 2023 (UTC) |

::If you check the user's edit history and talk page they have been reverted multiple times, sometimes more than once in the same article, including once by a bot. The edited pages are not new and something as obvious as "professional" is extremely unlikely to have been omitted without good reason (I can only assume that there is a policy or consensus somewhere that it is not appropriate). The user has received multiple warnings for making this exact edit. Despite this they have continued making this edit over a considerable number of articles. I consider people that continue to make the same edit despite being warned not to, especially without trying to justify it, as vandals. I also suspect they are a sock of Mackanbiljard who was warned for making exactly the same edits. :::I see. That makes sense. Schwede66 07:16, 18 June 2023 (UTC) |

Top 3 is notable?
Can you please point to where it says only the top three is notable. It is common standard to include the top 10 in one-day and overall classifications as seen here Wikipedia:WikiProject_Cycling/Standard_cyclist_biography#Major_results. Some of the removed events are UCI WorldTour events and are very notable to finish in the top 10. Paulpat99 (talk) 08:21, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- As usual different sports have different definitions of notable eye roll. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 19:56, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

Years
I see you've been reverting a few category additions made by an IP for being "Unnecessary parent categories." I've had a look at 2023 in the United States for example and that article also has these categories so I think that the IP is making the correct changes. Also, I've noticed they've been making these changes for about 6 hours straight (and sometimes making typos, so they aren't a robot) which is quite amazing. —Panamitsu (talk) 23:03, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- As per WP:PARENTCAT: "Apart from certain exceptions (i.e. eponymous categories and non-diffusing subcategories – see below), an article should be categorised under the most specific branch in the category tree possible, without duplication in parent categories above it." Oldest living state leaders
Howdy. FWIW, the mobile editor has returned, as an IP at List of oldest living state leaders, having promised to continue edit warring in their preference (concerning Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), to no end. GoodDay (talk) 00:43, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay
Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.
Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
