Kathryn Foster is an American TV producer and director. She resigned in October 2006 after being on The Young and the Restless for about 15 years due to her dissatisfaction with the show's new Head Writer and executive producer, Lynn Marie Latham.[citation needed] When Edward J. Scott was hired by Sony Pictures Television to join Days of Our Lives, he hired his former colleague to direct occasionally for the ratings challenged serial.
