Class 158
DPTAC is Disabled Persons Advisory Committee. The reason why I inserted "Repainted dado side panels and wall ends", is because I like to list all or most of the refurbishment work added. I do believe that there should be more information regarding/surrounding the refurbishment level/work carried out, especially if a person knows what work was carried out. This explains why I was very detailed and thorough on describing the refurbishment work. I have information and photographs regarding the majority of the UK's multiple units, apart from those Scotland. My information regarding Scottish multiple units is reduced as I have never been to Scotland.

Hi! Well done for creating this article. I was surprised to see the links suddenly worked and - bingo - there it was! I arranged for a mini-project to be set up called Rail Transport in Germany task force and would be delighted if you were interested in joining it. - Cool! You may have spotted my recent article on Train categories in Europe which covers more than Germany. It needs some further tidying up, but having copied and translated the basics, I'll leave the detail to the experts! At least it's a start. BTW you can save yourself time on loco, railway station and railway company articles by copying the infoboxes from German Wikipedia. They both translate the fields automatically and do all the layouts which speeds things up massively. Also the German loco infobox is better than the English one IMHO e.g. it colour codes the railway companies and has many more fields. Bermicourt (talk) 20:46, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

- PPS Oh, I should have said... the German locomotive infobox is called Schienenfahrzeug. However when you copy it into English Wikipedia you need to change the title to German Railway Vehicle. It translates all the fieldnames for you. Full details here: Template:Infobox German Railway Vehicle. The Bahnhof and Unternehmen infoboxes retain the same name, but also translate the fieldnames and, in some cases, the data too!
- When you're putting together an article, it's better to use a sandbox so people don't come along and try and mess with your semi-finished article or put it up for deletion. You can have several sandboxes; here's one of mine, for example: User:Bermicourt/Sandbox 2. Once the article's finished you just copy it into an article with the correct title.
- For German articles I generally try and follow the same conventions as German Wiki e.g. they usually use the oldest known classification of a loco as the title, then redirect the others to it. So the DRG Class 38.10-40 is entitled Prussian P 8 because that was the original class.
- If you get stuck on translating certain words, let me know; I have a number of excellent technical resources and have also built up my own glossary. That said, I'm not an expert on English terminology and especially the modern era! Bermicourt (talk) 13:24, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Class 158 Refurbishment at Wolverton
Only Central trains Class 158 were refurbished at Wolverton. The Wessex Trains, ARRIVA Trains Wales and First Great Western were all refurbished at Cardiff Canton depot. The ScotRail Class 158 are being refurbished at Springburn Glasgow.

The interior photograph on the Class 158 page is of an unrefurbished Class 158/9 - WYPTE batch and so does not feature the Regional Railways original interior of grey background with blue speck seating moquette, as featured for the majority (well all of, barring ten Class 158/9 units) of Class 158 when they were in British Rail ownership.

Just to let you know that I'm here if you need me, afternoons, evenings and late into the night.
You can always talk to me if you want. I need to discuss information regarding Class 150s, other trains and possibly the Valley Lines area of Arriva Trains Wales.
Do you only type information on DMUs or do you work on English EMUs as well - I ask this as I have a wealth of information available.
BTW - out of interest, can one use photographs as evidence to prove what I write is the truth and give information on refurbishments?

Hi. When you get a mo, could you please add your Rail transport in Germany related articles to the relevant section on the home page?
