Painted turtle

[edit]

You seem intent on adding that the painted turtle has a strong shell. Another editor had an objection to that, and I don't know if it is true. To make such an edit you now need to justify its inclusion. The shell is strong in comparison to what? To other turtle shells? It would also seem necessary for you to produce a citation to back up your claim (that it is a particularly strong turtle shell?). What is your basis for claiming that it is strong? Is it merely your opinion? Jameel the Saluki (talk) 15:25, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What is the sandbox and template for?

[edit]

My question. I don't know what the sandbox is for or what to write on it.

I think I explained it on my talkpage, but maybe I forgot to include something. You can write anything you want in it. Any article, that is. The sandbox is used as a draft box for your upcoming article. That way, because its not in the main space, there virtualy no chances that your article will be deleted. Does that answer your question?--Biografer (talk) 17:38, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Some additional comments: You can also use the sandbox for test edits or experiments. It's particularly helpful if you want to fiddle with a complicated template and need a page to display the template on (templates come with a "Preview on another page" feature). There are some things that are still inappropriate in a sandbox: Copyright violations, blatant spam, attack pages, and stuff that's totally unrelated to Wikipedia (we're not a free webhost); that's mostly covered by the criteria for speedy deletion. Help

[edit]
I want to know where I apply to be a Wikipedia admin. Because I would like to apply. If you can please leave a link to the application page in your response.
It's at WP:RFA, but you might want to consider reading Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship first, since it's extremely unlikely that you will even be considered at this point in time. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 16:05, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Discription of Flux

[edit]

Hello, User1696. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Discription of Flux".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 06:01, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
