MuvMi[1] (Thai: มูฟมี) is a Thai ride sharing startup[2] operating in and based in Bangkok.[3] It is the developer of the MuvMi app, which provides users with transportation via battery-powered electric tuk-tuks.[4]
Founded in 2018 by Krisada Kritayakirana and Supapong Kitiwattanasak, it aims to address issues with existing tuk-tuk transit in Bangkok, including air pollution and price standards.[5][6][7] MuvMi operates a fleet of over 250 electric tuk-tuks to provide first and last-mile commuter transit in 11 Bangkok neighborhoods.[6][8] The app offers over 2,000 drop-off and pick-up locations.[9]
In 2019, Chulalongkorn University announced a partnership with MuvMI as part of its Chula Smart City campaign.[10][11] In 2020, Thammasat University signed an agreement to bring MuvMi to its Tha Prachan campus.[12]
In July 2022, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken rode in a MuvMi tuk-tuk on the grounds of the US Ambassador's residence on a visit to Bangkok.[13]
