I'm here now.

@CountyCountry I realized I don't need an email to create an account. So I'm here now. Any concerns you may have of sockpuppetry should be against this account. Thanks Maximalistic Editor (talk) 04:18, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

Hello, Maximalistic Editor,

I noticed your postings on WP:AN which is quite unusual for a new account like yours so I was looking through your contributions. I see in a lot of edit summaries you threaten to report editors, I'm not sure where but I'm now guessing that it is to AN or ANI. If editors reported another editor every time there was a disagreement on Wikipedia, no editing would get done. This shouldn't be your first response in a dispute, to pull out the "go to ANI" card. This is an attempt to intimidate other editors and it's not how disputes get resolved here. We talk out our disagreements on talk pages and sometimes on user talk pages. Please do not do this again unless vandalism is occurring and I also don't think it's wise for you to advise an IP editor on how they can get auto-confirmed so they can support your "side" in a talk page disagreement. This is a form of canvassing.

While you might have been editing as an IP account for a while, to other editors, you are a new editor and starting off aggressively is not the way to succeed on a collaborative editing project where we deal with disagreements and disputes every day. You have to find a way to work with editors whose opinions you oppose and the best way to do that is to school yourself on Wikipedia policies and guidelines so you know what lines you shouldn't cross.

If you have questions about this or editing on Wikipedia, you are always welcome to bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:30, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All good, that one is my bad. Just went there because an editor was being nasty and I realized I could do that. I decided just to chirp into a few discussions there because why not Maximalistic Editor (talk) 10:49, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help

A user named "TheLawMan85" currently doing continuous "disruptive edits" by adding RCP poll data again and again in all election articles e.g. 2024 United States presidential election in Georgia. Can you please help me on this? Thank you. JoshuaJ28 (talk) 17:28, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll warn him on his talk page. If he doesnt stop, I'll get a partial block in order Maximalistic Editor (talk) 20:09, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
but @Yamla Im not them??? Maximalistic Editor (talk) 20:02, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

{{unblock|I'm very confused???}}
A few things???
I was never informed that there was an investigation against me for being a supposed sock??? I don't know why I'm banned??? So no due process???
I also don't use socks and am not a sock??? I've only ever used IPs and if they geolocate similarly, that's not more than a coincidence???
and finally, apart from this, is there any actual proof I'm supposedly them??? I don't have a clue why this happened???
Please tell me what's going on! Maximalistic Editor (talk) 06:02, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm very confused???

Decline reason:

"I'm very confused" isn't sufficient to consider lifting the block. Additionally,  Highly likely sockpuppetry based on technical evidence. Yamla (talk) 11:34, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

A note to CountyCountry

Listen up. I am sick of your obsession of accusing me of being a sock. Not only is the thing on my very own user page (which annoyingly has been blanked) clearly stating it's 'suspected' which doesnt mean confirmed, mainly because im not one. So readd the stuff I added please. Maximalistic Editor (talk) 05:31, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CountyCountry Maximalistic Editor (talk) 05:32, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were literally indefinitely blocked because of technical evidence by an admin. I am only enforcing Wikipedia's banning policy. If I see you with another sock again, I will revert you and report you to a checkuser. CountyCountry (talk) 05:34, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but it isn't confirmed??? And why are you of all people doing this? You have an absurd obsession with it. Maximalistic Editor (talk) 06:23, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

a note to admins (and a question)

@Ponyo

@Yamla

I'd like to inform you/ask you of two things.

Firstly, I dont plan on appealing for another four months. However, due to my lack of a personal email at all, revoking TPA would pretty much make it impossible for me to appeal. So please don't do that.

As for the question, the question goes as follows:

If I end up on another computer/IP, see a typo, and fix it, or change some badly-worded thing, etc, would I still be block evading by doing so? If I were to do so, I'd not go on talk pages nor bother with contentious topics unless it were reverting vandalism etc. (if someone blanked/put campaign material on a page or something, I'd revert that if I could) would that be fine Maximalistic Editor (talk) 11:24, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can still use WP:UTRS without talk page access. And if you end up on another computer/IP and fix a typo, etc., that would absolutely definitely yes be block evading. Doing so would make it very clear you never intend to abide by our policies and would make it all but impossible to unblock you. --Yamla (talk) 11:36, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know, won't do that then Maximalistic Editor (talk) 22:33, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing - when you reviewed my other unblock request, I think I did it improperly and used the bottom section to explain why. I think you didn't see it Maximalistic Editor (talk) 22:40, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And one more thing - I've noticed CountyCountry is actively pursuing me & my supposed 'socking' can you talk to him about this? He's always been the one spearheading this Maximalistic Editor (talk) 23:00, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Jesus. This is like a mob boss asking "why are the authorities going after me" like it's somehow not okay for the criminal justice system to go after suspected criminals. Not to imply you are a mobster like Sal Maroni or a law-breaker or anything, it's just that the dynamics of this hypothetical situation I've imagined parallel your words above. BarntToust 00:28, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is, he isn't an admin or anything. He's been the one who's been going after me since the start. Maximalistic Editor (talk) 01:05, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
