I'm in the early 1980s, photo taken by my lovely grandfather

Thank you for visiting my user page. First, I want to say, that I consider Mademoiselle Sabina at least the best friend of me, although I've never met her in real life. She is very nice at everything.

I am Russian (you can see; my English is not so good), born in the late 1970s in the USSR and always feel to be indebted to my native country. I don't contribute to the Russian Wikipedia at all, because I think, it is underdeveloped, and I don't have enough time to do a terrific amount of work filling those gaps. In the English Wiki I contribute mostly to sports-related topics. Sometimes I also contribute to Soviet people-related and generally scientific articles.

I pay special attention to the article about Samantha Smith. My dream is to visit and place flowers on her burial place in Maine. She is an angel.

... (sorry if I've forgotten somebody)

Username

My username is the Russian word Старт written in Latin alphabet (Latin "m" looks like handwritten form of Russian "т", other letters look like corresponding Russian letters), it translates into English as Start.

Status

At least currently I mostly contribute to women's gymnastics-related articles. Because gymnastics was the most successful sport in my native country (see USSR at the Summer Olympics). Most of the women's performances were impressive and graceful and generally more successful, than men's ones. All in our family always loved to watch namely women's gymnastics (as well as figure skating) prior to the breakup of the USSR, and I think, that this love is in my genes :)

Next task: to adjust pages for Worlds, created by me, listing events in Olympic order.
