Muhammad Ilyas Qadri (Urdu: محمد الياس عطار قادرى) is a Pakistani cleric and the founder of Dawat-e-Islami - a Dawah movement, aimed at the preaching of Islam.


Dawat-e-Islami

Qadri founded Dawat-e-Islami in 1981 at Karachi, Pakistan. He currently acts as the head of the foundation and runs various TV programs based on his religious sermons. On various instances, Qadri has been accused of inciting religious violence, particularly declaring the killing of apostates and critics of Prophet a desirable act <ref> National (2011).
