聽眾/听众 (tīngzhòng) and 觀眾/观众 (guānzhòng) are different; 聽眾/听众 (tīngzhòng) refers to a listening audience, such as a group of radio listeners, while 觀眾/观众 (guānzhòng) refers to an audience which is directly watching a public event, such as spectators at a stadium.
